The 4-point winning product test

Run every product through these four checks before you go live with it:

1. Can you show it in 10 seconds?

Live selling is visual. Supplements you can't open, clothes that look the same on everyone, generic gadgets with no wow moment — these die on live. The best products have an instant demo: a serum that absorbs on camera, a kitchen tool that slices in one motion, a LED mirror that lights up when you tap it.

2. Is the margin worth your time?

Aim for at least 25–35% commission after TikTok's cut, on a product priced between $15 and $60. That sweet spot converts impulse buyers without needing a hard sell. A $8 product needs huge volume. A $200 product needs trust you might not have yet.

3. Is it trending on TikTok Shop right now?

Look for products with rising order volume in the TikTok Shop affiliate marketplace. Sort by "hot" or check what's showing up in other sellers' lives. Momentum matters — riding a wave beats pushing a dead listing.

4. Would you actually use it?

Authenticity converts. If you can't honestly say "I use this" or "I would buy this," your audience will feel it. Pick products in categories you care about — beauty, home, fitness, gadgets — and stay in your lane until you have repeat buyers.
